Cookie Policy

1. Purpose and scope

This Cookie Policy sets out the principles governing the use of cookies and similar technologies on the kulular.com.tr website, operated by Kulular Bilişim Teknolojileri Limited Şirketi (the Company).

2. Analytics cookies: Google Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to measure visitor statistics. This is a non-essential cookie within the meaning of the Turkish Data Protection Authority's Guide on Cookie Practices, which is why a consent banner is shown at the bottom of the page. Unless a visitor explicitly clicks "Accept", or if they click "Decline", none of the cookies below are set and no request is sent to Google.

Where consent is given, the scope of the data processed, Google's role, and the basis for transfer outside the European Union are further explained in section 3 of the Privacy Policy. Consent can always be withdrawn through "Cookie preferences" in the footer; doing so brings the consent banner back and asks again.

The kt-cerez-onay cookie stores this choice itself, that is, whether the visitor accepted or declined. As it carries no analytics purpose and only remembers the visitor's own choice, it is strictly necessary within the meaning of ePrivacy Article 5(3) and does not itself require consent.

3. Language preference cookie

The site is published in seven languages: Turkish, English, French, Portuguese, German, Spanish and Arabic. The kt-dil cookie remembers a visitor’s explicit choice between these versions. Without it, every visit would need to be redirected again based on a country and browser-language guess. The cookie is kept for at most one year and carries no advertising or profiling purpose.

For visitors in the European Union: the language preference cookie is strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the visitor within the meaning of Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC). Because a language preference saved on the visitor's own choice falls within that exemption, no separate consent is collected. As no advertising, measurement or profiling cookies are used, there is no other cookie that would require consent.

4. Browser local storage

The site uses the browser’s local storage only to remember interface preferences. The data currently stored is as follows.

• kt-ses. The visitor’s preference for background sound. Kept in persistent local storage until the visitor clears it.
• kulular-protokol-kalibre. Whether the opening animation has already been shown in that session. Kept in session storage and cleared automatically when the tab closes.

This data stays on the visitor’s device, is not sent to the server and cannot be read by the Company. A visitor can delete it by clearing site data in their browser settings.

5. Necessary technical data

The content delivery network through which the site is served may use technical identifiers to keep the service secure. These identifiers carry no advertising or profiling purpose and are necessary to provide the service.

6. Managing cookie preferences

A visitor can view, delete and block future storage of cookies and site data from their browser’s settings. The location of these settings differs from browser to browser.

7. Changes

This text was updated when Google Analytics was introduced, and the consent mechanism was built around it. If another measurement or analytics tool is added in future, the policy will be updated again. The current text is always published on this page.
